Service Manager – Supported Accommodation (16–18 Years)

Location: Macclesfield (SK10) & Edgeley, Stockport (SK3)
Salary: Up to £42,500
Base Salary: £42,500

Were recruiting an experienced Service Manager to lead two Ofsted‑regulated supported accommodation homes for young people aged 16–18. Both homes are well‑established, stable services, each supporting one young person currently in placement. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, child‑centred leader who values therapeutic, trauma‑informed practice and strong organisational support.

The Homes

Home 1 – SK10 (Macclesfield)

  • 2‑bedded supported accommodation
  • Ages 16–18
  • Currently 1 male resident

Home 2 – SK3 (Edgeley, Stockport)

  • 2‑bedded supported accommodation
  • Ages 16–18
  • Currently 1 male resident

Both homes promote independence, emotional safety, and stability for looked‑after young people preparing for adulthood.

Who Were Looking For

  • Previously held Ofsted registration within the last 2 years (supported accommodation 16–18)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
  • Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge
  • Confident leading registration, inspections, and compliance
  • Committed to therapeutic, trauma‑informed, outcome‑focused support

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations across both homes
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and all regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop staff to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred support
  • Support continuous improvement and service quality
  • Build positive relationships with young people, local authorities, and external agencies

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered/Service Manager in Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation or childrens services
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
