Care Assistants – Established Domiciliary Care Provider (Shrewsbury)

Location: Rural Shrewsbury (SY5)
Pay: £12.61– £16.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Mileage: 40p per mile
Hours: Mon–Fri, 7am–9pm (1‑hour break), 5‑day week (would also look at candidates looking for part time)
Weekends: 1 in 2

About the Role

The provider welcomes both full‑time and part‑time applicants, and can offer flexible working patterns to suit the needs of the successful candidate.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established domiciliary care provider based in rural Shrewsbury. With a stable client base of 88 service users, they are seeking warm, confident and committed Care Assistants to join their expanding team.

This role involves supporting individuals in their own homes across rural locations, promoting independence, dignity and safety at all times.

Candidates with at least 2 years’ experience in care are preferred, but the service is also open to applicants who are keen, committed and genuinely motivated to develop a long‑term career in the care sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing person‑centred care in service users’ homes
• Supporting with personal care
• Meal preparation and light domestic tasks
• Medication prompting
• Companionship and emotional support
• Ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date record keeping
• Supporting individuals to remain safe and independent in their community

Requirements

• Must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available
• Must live in, or close to, the SY5 postcode
• Full UK driving licence
• Access to your own vehicle
• Comfortable driving in rural areas
• Reliable, confident and able to communicate well
• Naturally bubbly, caring and positive personality
• Ideally 2 years’ experience in care (preferred but not essential for the right applicant)
