Dual Registered Manager – Children's Residential Services
Location: Burton‑on‑Trent
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent
A well‑established children's residential provider is seeking an experienced and confident Dual Registered Manager to oversee two Ofsted‑regulated homes supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The Role
As Dual Registered Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for two children's homes, each with senior staff already in place. You will ensure both services operate to the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance, while driving continuous improvement and supporting your teams to exceed expectations.
You will provide strong, visible leadership across both settings, maintaining full regulatory compliance, supporting your teams, and ensuring that each home provides a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the young people it supports.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop staff across two homes, ensuring a culture of high performance, professionalism and trauma‑informed practice.
- Ensure full safeguarding compliance and uphold Ofsted regulatory standards across both services.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, behaviour support strategies and placement reviews.
- Drive quality, prepare for inspections and maintain positive Ofsted outcomes.
- Support oversight of budgets, resources, rota planning, and operational performance.
- Build strong working relationships with local authorities, external professionals and families.
Requirements
- Level 5 Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Experience as a Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy ready to step up.
- Proven experience supporting young people with EBD and trauma.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding and regulatory frameworks.
- Confident leader with resilience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage across multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence.
