Location: Marple, Stockport (SK2)
Salary: Up to £40,000
Base Salary: £35,200
Performance Bonus: Up to £4,800 per annum
Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off, 10am–10pm (no sleeps)
Were recruiting an experienced Deputy Manager to join a well-established Ofsted-regulated 4-bedded EBD childrens home in Marple, Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role within a stable, therapeutic service supported by a strong senior leadership team.
The Home
- 4-bedded EBD home
- Currently supporting 3 children (2 boys, 1 girl)
- Therapeutic, trauma-informed approach
- Stable placement group and supportive wider team
Who Were Looking For
You must have:
- Experience working as a Deputy Manager within an Ofsted-registered childrens home within the last 2 years
- Level 3 or 4 qualification (Children & Young People)
- Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge
- Confidence in supporting Ofsted inspections
- A commitment to therapeutic, trauma-informed care

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and all regulatory requirements
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff teams
- Help drive continuous improvement across the home
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies
Requirements
- Experience as a Deputy Manager in an Ofsted-regulated setting
- Level 3/4 in Children & Young People
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted frameworks
- Confident in leading practice and supporting inspections
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
